Corvin is a speech-to-text app for iOS and macOS, operated by Hyperstack LLC. Questions: team@hyperstack.ru.

In short

Corvin does not collect your speech, your transcripts or anything about what you type, and sends none of it anywhere. Recognition happens entirely on your device.

What is processed on your device

Audio

The microphone is on only while you hold the record button. The recording exists in memory, is transcribed by a local Whisper model, and is discarded immediately afterwards. It is never written to disk and never leaves the device.

Transcripts

History is kept in a local database on the device. You can delete any entry or the whole history, and turn on scheduled auto-cleanup in settings. We have no access to any of it.

Settings

Your chosen model, languages and other preferences are stored locally.

The keyboard and the app

The Corvin keyboard does not record audio. It asks the Corvin app to start and stop recording and receives the finished text back. That exchange runs over a local connection inside the device (127.0.0.1) and never leaves it.

The Full Access permission the keyboard requests is used for exactly that connection to the app. Keystrokes, the contents of text fields and the clipboard are not collected and not transmitted.

Network requests

The app reaches the internet in two situations only.

1. The list of available models. The app fetches https://hyperstack.ru/corvin/models.json to show the current catalogue. Our web server makes an ordinary access-log entry for that request: IP address, date and time, and the path requested. Those logs exist for diagnostics, are kept for a limited time, and are tied neither to your identity nor to any transcript.
2. Downloading a model you picked. The file is fetched from Hugging Face (huggingface.co), and only after you tap Download. That is a third-party service, and its own privacy policy applies to the request.

The app makes no other network requests.

What we do not do

• No analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs
• No accounts, and no identifiers collected for tracking
• No sharing or selling of data to third parties
• No use of your recordings to train models

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data about them.

Your rights

All Corvin data lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app. If you have a question about data handling, write to team@hyperstack.ru.
